Why didnt I just stick with the review made by C. Falconer "Mmmm Not Really Samsung...,"? Bought this model and it originally came with an S screen from Wi5 (good service) all well and good. Couple of weeks later the screen starts to flicker and then goes completely blank when the monitor reaches it normal operating temperature - not happy. Wi5 tell me to contact Samsung directly for support on this, so I call them and they arrange for a replacement (newly refurbished unit). Again, am not happy about getting a refurbished unit to replace a brand new monitor, but a few months had passed where the unit had been sitting on my desk I had no alternative but to accept the sales pitch "oh, but the plastics will still be new" ... The first problem was in fixing the tv to the underside of the kitchen cabinet.I had to drill four holes through the cabinet(brand new by the way) and then had four long protuding screws sticking up into the cabinet. We bought four of these for our office. Apart from the horrible overhead of Vista they seemed pretty good and the small form factor was really useful for desk space, so we got another six. It's now just over a year since we got the first batch and three of the first four have failed catastrophically after the motherboards fried. Most screens are afflicted by a ceaseless flicker and one of the second batch has failed. We noticed that the second batch we bought have upgraded cooling systems and despite putting it to Acer that there must be a recognised problem with the early ones which caused them to change the design they don't want to know. I would put this down as one of the the worst product choices we have ... Read More:
