Well, like the title says, this is a USB 1.1 hub, unless none of the USB gadgets you are going to plug in are data intensive this is a good hub. Basically, this hub is good for mouse, keyboard, usb fans, usb remote etc. kind of equipment; if you are thinking of plugging in data intensive enquipment like hard drives, usb flash drives, just forget this hub. If you use this hub to plug in a hard drive into your computer, then data read/write speed will be very low; USB2 has been out for quite a while now. So do yourself a favour and get a USB2 hub, there are a couple nice ones here on Amazon's site, same price.

I had my doubts as to whether or not to order this as it dosn't make it clear that this is a mains power device which was what I wanted. I plugged it in it connected straight away,it has a nice solid feel the 4 grn LCDs only illuminate when in use so its easy to see if your periferals are connected. I have always found Belkin good.

I live in an old barn and the wireless signal from my BT home hub reached less than half of it becuase of its size and thick stone wals. I bought this product and in 10 minutes the problem was solved.Signal strenght is excellent and it covers the whole house. I can strongly recommend this product. It is really easy to set up and install.

If you seek effortless set-up and a device that works according to the manual, look elsewhere! Having spent the best part of a day trying to get this thing working, I have put it back in the box and will only retrieve it when I have been very bad and wish to punish myself! I don't understand how a product this shoddy and non-functional has survived on the market. The software doesn't work and, unless one wishes to spend ones life printing out Windows test pages (it does those perfectly but little else!)it has no place near your printer. I had hoped to be able to share my ("compatible" so Netgear assured me) device with my son but it is going to be kinder on us both for me to buy a second printer after all... Complete dissatisfaction I bought this modem with hope to extend the wireless coverage in my house. Unfortunately, no matter where I place the modem or what channel I set the coverage does not improve. In fact my old Netgear54Mbit wireless router does better than Belkin. I contacted the Live Chat support but either the system was down or the agent I spoke, I failed to communicate my issue to him. I wish I could return it back to where I bought it.

This works faultlessly with the DIR-655 router I bought to go with my 20MegaBit connection. The ease at which I was downloading wirelessly at 2.5 megabyte/s from fast websites was impressive. I would advise getting adapters from the same manufacturer when considering wireless-N products to ensure compatability.
