Having read all the reviews on this product, and after trying several more expensive alternatives on my Vista driven PC, I thought I'd have nothing to lose by giving this one a try, and I'm delighted! A few reviewers here said that the software provided is a bit naff, and I'm inclined to agree, which is why I've only given four stars, but the card itself is a five star bit of kit! I didn't go down the route of installing the drivers first as the installation disc suggests, I simply installed the card in the PC and let 'Vista' find the correct drivers and away it went. This started brilliantly, outperforming all previous adaptors for range by far - however, when the first one went faulty Big Box were superb with their service and replaced very quickly - six months later second unit has failed. Big Box offering refund as they don't have a suggested replacement - this is a shame as they have been superb but it would be foolhardy to try a third BT Voyager 1055 with this reliability record.

This is my third router, the previous ones being Belkin and Netgear, and both became faulty after a period of use. I have had the Voyager for about seven months, so I can't vouch for its long term performance, but the performance within that period has been exceptionally good. Firstly, the Internet connection has NEVER dropped out. It has been switched off when I have been away from home occasionally and on switching on again it recaptures the broadband signal within about half a minute without my touching it. The other two both had occasional drop outs and had to be rebooted. I found the Netgear WG511 so simple t0 install on my Evesham Notepad, I just followed the instructions to the letter and it worked first time! So far it has given first class service, I evan tried my Notepad Pc in my Shed and that's some 150 feet away from my house! I cant fault Netgear thus given them 10 out of 10 for how simple it is to use!

although the CD setup program would not recognise the internet connection and had to configure through manual system, it was very easy and I am delighted that it all worked - I am running XP and have added both a vista system and XP pro laptop to the wireless network - the CD setup worked fine for adding the USB wireless adapter. XP pro machine require WPA rather than WEP encryption. great !

I was a little dubious about these plugs when I first saw them. 200MBPS connection for less than half of what big brands cost. However I opened the very nondescript white packaging, plugged them in to the wall, installed supplied Ethernet cables from the home-plugs to router and computer and they just worked. Nothing else required. The supplied Ethernet cables are about 1 meter long. There is a software disk in the both, this contains a utility to password protect the plugs and also shows the connection speed. I have tried several plugs in my house and get between 150 and 195 mbps depending on distance. Be aware though that most router have a 100mbps switch which will limit the connection speed for the network. Definitely faster ... Read More:

I got delivered TP-Link TL-WN321G instead of TP-Link TL-WN520G. It's pretty good but wonder if it's software or something inside that thing that when it discconects it's taking long time to get back and running but it's mostly of my place because there is a weak signal so if it was strong I don't think there would be a problem with that dongle. It was the same problem with belkin adapter. I'm sure if it was near router it would work properly. Experience with this one is better. The best one I ever had was 3COM 3CRUSB10075 but I broke it and after that it's only trouble finding better one because I can't find any better even with more expensive it's beating. You'll never know till you try by yourself.
