Computer : Htc Touch Diamond Unlocked Mobile Phone - Black

I've had my Diamond for 3 weeks now and I'm very impressed with it. I did have some problems with the touch screen when I first got it. I found I had to press very hard to get the screen respond, but there was a very simple reason for that. . . I've owned Windows Mobile powered deviced before and each one of them insists you perform a simple screen alignment when you use it for the first time. On past versions of WM you simply touched the cross-hair with the stulus. In the Diamond you have to touch and hold the cross-hair for a second. Having not read the manual I touched the screen and nothing happened, so I touched harder and harder until it worked. This was my downfall as the diamond very cleaverly calibrates the screen sensitivity ... Read More:

Computer : HTC Touch P3450 Pocket PC Phone
As other reviewers have said, this is more of a PDA than a phone and the phone capability is merely one amongst the myriad of functions it offers. Like most of Jack of All Trades it is not really a master of any of them but it does a workmanlike job of dealing with them all. Being a Windows based device allows it access to a wealth of third party software to expand its' capabilities still more.

The device looks great, small and attractive with an excellent build quality. The HTC Today screen looks good and this leads us on to the the iphone like 'Touchflow' interface. On first sight this is good, big icons for the main functions of the phone that roll up and rotate to the (three!) sides of a cube at the touch of a finger. However, ... Read More:

16.3 Prepay Mobile Broadband Modem - White from: THREE

Computer : 3 Prepay Mobile Broadband Modem - White
Purchased in December ( - for twice as much!).

It's fast and quick to connect, and topping up is easy by buying your top up voucher as you would for your phone. Bonus that the '3' network is pre-pay, no contract!! Just £10 for a months use when you want is pretty cheap!

It's perfect for in the CITIES. Though, it consistently failed to connect in MANY small towns in Cornwall and Scotland, which made buying it for travelling about the UK a bit pointless (- as in the big cities there were cheap wifi cafes anyway!) Make sure you thoroughly check the coverage in the area you are going to use it to get good value!

There have been a lot of comments in various forums about the network switching being poor. The early versions of the firmware were simply buggy. If you update to the latest firmware the network issues go away. Switching is no longer a problem and I now never have to reboot the phone. Battery life isn't brilliant - but there is an extended battery available. I love synching with work email and personal email which the 612 makes a breeze to do.

Had it about two weeks now and after initial teething problems that were mostly my own doing it works well. Mio Mapping V3 seems fine. Check out the spec as the one on Mio web site appears to be wrong; they do not include a uk mains adaptor and the head phone socket is 2.5 not 3.5mm. Make sure to use the dedicated USB cable to synchronize as my own would not work, probably not same connections. Get the mapping working before you load your own contacts and calendar as Mio wants to search for all your post codes. Managed to load Memory Map OS5 (Ordnance Survey 1:50k) with settings : Manufacturer NMEA Model NMEA 0183, RMC Port COM2: GPS_COM Baud 57600 I found these on Mio 560 Forum and they work but they do not seem to be the recommended settings.
