I upgraded from my Palm 3 in July 2007, after nearly nine years of heavy use. There was nothing wrong with my Palm 3 as such, despite its decreptitude; it was just that technology has moved on an awful lot in that time and I decided to treat myself. And WOW!, what a treat the Palm Treo is! The full keyboard, which looks like it might be fiddly, is actually quite easy to use. The colour screen is absolutely gorgeous, and being able to personalise the Treo with the use of colours and pictures is a nice touch. While it is bigger than my old Nokia phone, it's much smaller than my Palm 3, and you can do so much more with it. Bought this case for my Zire 31, the zire fits very snugly into the case and the case does its job in protecting the handheld & easy to clip on belt/carry around, however it fails badly as others have mentioned in the cutouts. 1) You can't use the 5-way navigator button properly, and you can hardly see the power on button. 2) You have to push the handheld up out of the case to get the stylus out. 3) You can't access the headphone socket or the USB socket when in the case. If you just want this to protect & clip your handheld on to your belt then this is great. But to use my Zire I find I'm just taking it out of the case, so much easier.

Although a little long in the tooth, I now have two of these, at least five years after buying my first one. They both work, I just wanted to have one at work and the other at home to save carrying it around. That said, it is highly portable able to slip into a shirt pocket and there are plenty of accessories such as a hard case if you work in an environment where it is likely to be crushed by a demolition ball or something. The software is basic, but it does what I need, i.e. logs names, addresses, tel numbers, emails, additional notes and has extra features such as calender, to do list, note pad, games, calculator, clock etc. The PC link & sychonisation is also simple & effective Best of all, because it is a b/w display ...
