Even at home, your computer is a theft magnet. How valuable is your data on your home or business computer? Never thought about it? Then you should be. I have come across people who have talked about all their work saved on the Hard disk & have never thought it necessary to backup their data. Well at least with this device you can have some sort of security. Yes I know, if it is to be stolen then someone will steal it, but at least with a fight on their hands. I give this deal 5 Stars especially at this price considering I have been shopping around & cannot find cheaper. Well done Amazon.

Item seems to work well but there are 4 points you should note. The free software that comes with it is not Vista compatible and you will get the blue screen of death trying to install it. While the yoggie is updating you loose your ability to look at webpages until it finishes. You have little control over settings; you can set Low, Medium or High protection but you will not get the options to allow or block programs through the Firewall like you normally would through Windows. Also if you have 2 USB ports close to each other you loose the use of the other USB port because the Yoggie physically blocks it. So if you hate your machine being slowed down by AntiVirus software,don't like being involved in the process and don't mind ... Read More:

It works, but 3 areas that it falls down imo 1) Software - On other cameras such as the Axis models you can set timed actions when motion is detected. For example when motion detected email or ftp the images of the full activity for x seconds/minutes or until the motion stops so you can receive second by second sequencial images of the full activity. With the Ycam you have no real options for the time line when motion is detected. I had someone come into my house for 3 minutues and all I received was 2 images, neither of their face. 2) Doesn't work well with Firefox etc. You need to use I.E. 3) Night vision was disappointing in large completely black rooms.
