We ordered one for my elderly mother. We have just set it up - handy to have a few teenage sons around to do this quickly. It needs a memory card - the device's own storage capacity seems to cope with only some twenty pictures. We linked it to our PC then dragged dozens of pictures into the hard drive card duly inserted. Worked a treat first time. Picture quality good, although the screen is not that big. Main problem? Buttons on the device eg to set the sequencing frequency are fiddly. Best to link to a PC then eg rotate pictures there. But once it is all set up an excellent product for the price.

This is a first class piece of kit, easy to set up,just plug in and insert media, pictures are clear sharp with vibrant colour, just one very small niggle, it's a bit of a fiddle getting the media cards in and out.A really good buy especially on Amazon.

Bought this as a gift for my dad, he was really pleased with it and found it easy enough to use. The picture frame looks nice and the picture quality is impressive for the price of the frame.

Images sharp and clear. Options for slide show, auto switch on/off, preview, clock, calendar all simple to access and work really well. I particularly like the ability to change the interval on the slide show. Accepts many card types and is easy to build an album on the internal memory. It cleverly adjusts the picture for portrait or landscape as you turn the frame - optimising the picture size. A shame that the lcd screen is 15:9 more akin to a widescreen TV rather than a camera. This means that if you have the frame in landscape mode then portrait pictures tend to be smaller than you'd wish. There are a lot of frames to choose from out there so I took a while to make my choice and I haven't been dissapointed. I went for Agfafoto as I remember Agfa cameras being high quality, straight forward products and this frame lives up to my expectations. I really like the remote control as it is very easy to use and all the buttons are duplicated on the back of the frame, so its not a disaster if I lose the remote! The picture quality is good and the screen can handle 16:9 images as well as 3:4. There were 3 surrounds in the box which fit on the front of the frame magnetically - really neat! I like the black one best but the white and brushed aluminium are good too.

I bought this as a present for my elderly parents. The picture quality is great but the software controlling the functionality is poor. The photos are presented in the same order every time you switch on. When you got half way through 4000 photos in the morning. The last thing you want is to have to go through the first 2000 again next time you switch it on. Why on Earth doesn't the software allow you to play photos in random order; or to remember the last photo displayed; or to allow you to select the photo you want to start from. This may not sound terrible but trust me, it's extremely frustrating and makes using an otherwise great product, plain tedious. I bought it as a present for my wife. I have been a bit put off by some of the horror stories in reviews for other similar products but paid my money and hoped. I was not disappointed...my wife had it working within seconds. Easy to use, good standad of picture and reasonable functionality. The "fit to frame" function is very good. Would definately recommend to any other digital photo frame "virgin".

Having bought this device second-hand without a manual, USB cable or remote control, here are some extra tips I found online: (By the way, nobody is going to get this off me for any money as I am very pleased with it - even without a remote!) PC CONNECTION I read in the manuals and FAQs on Polaroid.com for the Polaroid model XSU-01220B (a very similar device to this) that there is no support for connection to a PC. So I recommend avoiding this, as a previous person has said. USB HARD DRIVE CONNECTION I have also read in another product description or FAQ on another site that you can connect an external USB hard drive - those ones aimed at the PC market (it must have its own power supply, however).
