We bought this case (and camera) for a trip to the Maldives. This is a superb product for a beach holiday. Photos on land and underwater are crystal clear. The 860 IS has a big clear screen which is perfect for underwater photography when using this case. We had no problems diving down to approx 5 meters using this camera and case when snorkeling. I wouldn't hesitate to take this on a 30 meter scuba dive. We actually kept the camera in the waterproof case for the entire two week holiday. You can't tell that the camera is in the case when you look at photos taken on land. The pictures are perfect and the camera is protected from the sand and water for the entire holiday. I also bought this for my NV8 which doesn't appear to have had a case made specifically for it. It was a real squeeze to the extent that the very weak magnetic catch kept popping open. In fact this catch was so weak that it could be far too easily popped open even without the camera being inside. I was also unimpressed by the level of protection that it felt like it would give. It has large openings at the top where the flap goes over, so there is almost zero weather or dust protection, and it could only cope with the lightest of impacts I think.
