PROS: As usual, canon introduces the newest technology at the best price. The eos 30 has "eye control focus," which is very useful. It makes composing the picture much easier and faster, because the camera actually senses where you are looking at in the photo. The photo quality is the best in it's class. Better than ANY digital camera, and only bettered when you spend above a grand. This is an excellent camera. If this your first time buying an SLR, go for this camera. It will help you grow into an advanced amateur. Functions and buttons are easy to understand. A very nice camera. I have had mine for years and taken thosuands of photos. it is very reliable and works very well. But my advice is not to buy it. Spend the extra bit and go digital. It will pay itself off very quickyl. By the time you have bout this camera and then the continous expenses of film and processing, oh and the batteris cost £5 each and need replacing every now and then. You will be better saving your money for a bit and go ditital. Recomendation: Nikon D40 or D40x. Excellent cameras.
