I bought this to replace a 35mm Canon pocket camera that was stolen. The Contax T2 pictures are truly outstanding, far, far better than I hoped for. The focus is correct across the whole frame, and the absence of geometric distortion and colour aberrations is a revelation. The Zeiss Sonnar lens is so very much better than those on any of the digital still cameras I have owned or tried. Being a fast prime lens helps, especially in poor light, since all zooms are a compromise. 35mm film is less convenient than digital, but the colour quality and picture accuracy make this an essential part of any serious photographers tool kit. I crop and scan the negatives with a Canon LiDE 600F scanner in 48bit mode, and the laser printed end results are ... Read More:
