Bought this as a gift for my dad, he was really pleased with it and found it easy enough to use. The picture frame looks nice and the picture quality is impressive for the price of the frame.

I travel around a lot taking pictures on my DSLR on a semi-pro basis, and on a couple of occasions have returned home to find that all my images have sensor dust marks, which makes for many hours of retouching. So rather than follow the recommended route of taking along a laptop I decided to buy the Linx instead.

Where it really scores in my opinion is that it has a built-in rechargeable battery, which means that I can do a photo-shoot and have the Linx connected up to my camera (Nikon D80) which acts as a USB "memory stick". The mini-USB end goes into the camera and the fat end into the Linx. Admittedly it's not a huge screen but if you've ever had to battle with Nikon's tiny monitor screen you'll appreciate the difference.

I bought this for my daughter - it is a nice little thing, and a bargain price, but the instructions were in Spanish - and when translated did not seem to bear much relation to the actual product anyway! It is not easy to do basic stuff like setting the alarm. We had all sorts of trouble downloading photos to it, despite being very computer literate. Eventually we realised it needed a button battery to do so - despite working fine otherwise on AA batteries. The screen is very small and if left on, the batteries won't last long at all; I kind of wished I'd got one with a larger screen but I guess the batteries would go flat even sooner on that.

I decided that 7 and 8 inch frames were too small for my purpose and researched the various 10 and 12 inch models. I discovered that none had adequate resolution so I turned to the 15 inch models, narrowing my choice to the Digi View and the Living Images frame, both of which have the same excellent resolution and favourable reviews. I decided on the latter because it had a large 512MB internal memory and a random slideshow feature lacking in the Digi View. When it arrived I was soon impressed by my new toy. On the plus side are:

* good value
* excellent picture
* easy to set up
* 512MB internal memory
* can be used with every major type of flash memory including Memory Stick
* can play video and MP3 music ... Read More:

I'd been looking for ages for a photo frame with a leather look that would actually match my other picture frames and general apartment furnishings. Also my biggest bugbear is that most frames have that annoying plastic dot on the frame which I think is for the remote control receiver. on this model they seem to have done the sensible thing and done away with the remote control and made the frame nice and smooth without the plastic remote sensor. nix seem to have gone for the stylish yet simple approach, acknowledging that I only want to see my photos on this and not watch movies or listen to music (that's what my bose hi-fi and sony tv is for). As a result it seems to be much easier to use and there is no complicated set up. I used to have a Linx, ... Read More:

The screen quality is very good for the price, although the vertical viewing angle is not great, so you need to mount it at the right height that it will most often be viewed at. The sideways viewing angle is better.

It downscales 5MP images well on the 1024x768 screen, and allows you to zoom in reasonably quickly, so you don't need to resize your images unless you are worried about memory card space.

How you like this product depends on how you intend to use it. For taking a card out of a camera and viewing your images it is very good indeed - I'd give it 5 stars.

For a permanent installation in your living room though, it has some problems.

Minor ones first:
- the cardboard mount on mine is inexpertly ... Read More:

This camera is the lightest and smallest camera I have owned so far. It has features I find very useful, for example the shoot and choose function is great for shooting action shots.
It will easily fit in a largish shirt's lapel pocket. It starts up quickly for those moments when you need a camera bit quick.
I have only given it 3 stars though because the picture quality is only average. It may be 8 megapixel but I think I was achieving better pictures with my Canon a70 3.2 megapixel camera 5 years back or more. There is considerable noise in most pictures. Colour leakage around things and lndscape pictures seem a little flat.
But if you want a well made, lightweight camera at a reasonable price you'd do well to consider this.

Well I got this for my girlfriend, i've only had it since this morning and havn't given it to her yet, but it seems really good quality considering the price.

Theres a bit of pixelation (almost unnoticable). The Battery seems to last a while and it has a bunch of features which I dont think are described very well in the description of it, and I was really quite happilly suprised:

-Auto off after a certain amount of inactive time.
-It has a built in clock.
-You can change the contrast and backlight, although changing the contrast dosent seem to make much difference.
-Adding photos is very simple, just plug it into the usb, some software opens up immediatally (no installation) and you just add the photos and hit the download ... Read More:
