The suction cup is decent on a suitable platform, but the actual ball and socket head is incapable of supporting the weight that is claimed of it. My camera weighs 470g, according to its manual. This mount claims to be capable of carrying up to 500g. Yet the mount will not keep the camera pointing in the right direction, unless that direction is nearly horizontal. For a much smaller camera, this issue may not arise. But it should be noted that the 500g max that is claimed for this mount is a considerable exaggeration.
