I figured this book out in about 10 minutes. It's just boring and basic.There is nothing new, brilliant, no things to think about. You have probably read it all somewhere else before. I bought this book and now i wish I didn't, and there is no one I dislike enough to give it to.

A great book, it doesn't take much to get to grips with the knowledge it contains and if like me you are really getting fed up with the wrong type of people I'd recommend it as a place to get some practical idea's about what's going on with the relationships in your life.

The message is that learning this can be painful for kids, but that you, as the parent, need to teach them these lessons. This book is not about putting restrictions and rules on your partner. It is a very well written and insightfual book, and not your usual relationship guru stuff.I found it really useful to read, and easy to relate to your own experiences. It is not just theory and psycology, it has pratical useful advice and information. I think it really stood out against similar books I have read, and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone whether happily married or experiencing problems.

We are currently doing a course on boundaries at our church, this book has been a wonderfull companion to the course full of good advice on how to set boundaries in your life. A must for all Christians to read and a tool to be used for a positive atitude to setting boudaries both at home, in relaionshops and at work with colleagues and friends. Dr Cloud and Dr Townsend put over this series with understanding depth ans humour.

I usually don't like books about how psychology as I find that they too often put people into boxes. Having said that I found this a book really good read and it helped me think more about the affect of my actions on my husband and how he responds to me and also what my hopes and expectations are and how to communicate them. A book can't ever cover everything but I found this insightful, constructive and applicable. A lesson in life and love that I won't forget.

This would be a good book if it wasn't for all the religious connotations. I was looking for a book that would help me improve my relationship with my mother, not help me find religion.
