I'm somewhat confused by the rubbish reviews of this title! I've had this book in my collection for some time, so have read it a couple of times now, and I have to say I still thoroughly enjoyed it! It's basically a compilation of the best stories from previous Black Lace editions of Wicked Words. I haven't, of course, read all of the other Wicked Words, but I'm getting there. And this book is definitely hot!! Black Lace has changed over the years, and as I'm reading more and more titles, I'm noticing this quite considerably. For example, as "political correctness" becomes more of an issue, Black Lace is, unfortunately becoming more vanilla. This book, though, published in 2004 isn't. A nice and quick read for those of a racier nature. There are several short stories to wet your appetite or anything else! Thoroughly enjoy this book.

After reading the first story (no I didn't read them on order) my eyebrows raised in curiosity....but after the third, fourth and so on, a twisted Mills and Boon came to mind. I guess I had high expectations, it was also my first venture into erotic stories and I can cheerfully say it made me want to write my own! I'm sure some of the less adventurous would enjoy it but did nothing for me. The reworking of classic stories such as Goldilocks, Snow White just couldn't be sexy for me. That said, it was a breath of fresh air to read such eloquent language.I suspect the book would be great for either those with little experience or those whose experience is in the distant past.

Don't waste your money, this book is very very poor to say the least. One star is really one too many!!

This book wasn't what I had expected and the reviews didn't make it clear that they were about more mature people. I found the stories good but definitely not raunchy enough.

After reading some great reviews about this book, I was very much looking forward to reading it. and once I read it I was disappointed beyond words. It was full of sentimental babble which I tried but could not appreciate. The only part of the book I found interesting was the part where the leading female character was made to act out a lady of the night role in a hotel room with her boyfriend, her boyfriend's uncle and the hotel waiter. the rest of the book was disappointing and not very exciting. This book is may be to some people's taste, but certainly not mine. For the lack of a better word I would say the I found the contents of this book were a bit mundane.

This volume of "quickies" was some of the best erotic reading I have done in a while. It was to the point, to put it mildly! Can't wait for vol. 3!! Another "quickie" erotic read I devoured and would recommend: Sex Scenes: Erotica Excerpts from the Novels of Kim Corum.

I had lost my copy of Women in Love by Nancy Friday and thought I would try some modern erotica. In my opinion, this is not comparable. I wish I had bought Women in Love again. This didn't really warm me up.

I think I had over estimated this one after reading the reviews, and was a little dis-appointed to say the least, the stories didnt capture my imagination as previous material had, but its a good read never the less.

Basically woman fantasise about the same things that a man fantasises about. Each person is different so ask your partner don't bother with this book unless you want some erotic fact based on somebodies fiction. However the stories are on the whole short and you need to read a few to begin to be turned on.
