oh WOW this book was great just glad what i got it i also got the other 2 as i have 3 to read one after the other i could not put them down and now i am waiting for the next one they are full of action and you get thinking that you are really living as cassie if you get in to your books like me and can get the pictures in you head as you read. you really get in to it a great book and left me wanting more not looking for all her books

This series had had me hooked from the 1st book they keep getting better this is a great book and i cant wait for the next one when it come out. I have even gone and got some other book this author has done she is a great writer that take you with the book as you read it. they are amazing

Let me explain; it is a tough talking, well written book but the author initially gives little understanding into some of the concepts, terminologies, and character background - so much so that I kept wondering if I'd picked up a sequel and was therefore in the dark for a reason. So An Independant woman, nothing wrong with that, apart from the fact that shes one of the few remaining female werecats in the world, and boy do those boys want to breed. she doesnt, doesnt want anything to do with it. understandable.. and this leads to a very interesting set of books.. im awaiting the 3rd book Pride in 2009 to find out the outcome of Faythes strong will not to be forced into anything. verygood book... urban in a sort becuase of the cover of a normal human being, while being a shapeshifter..

I was very disappointed in this book. I was expecting something far better than what was delivered. It took me ages to read this book simply because it didn't grip me. I found one of the scenes particularly creepy-the one where Lucan performs a sexual act on the heroine while she is sleeping. Very creepy imo. I've been told that the series gets better so I'm not giving up on it yet.

I was only half way through reading Chance's Cassie Palmer series when I came across this book, and oh my god. Even though I relaized Chance was a good author, I didn't realise how subtle and beautiful it really is. Being a fan of Louis-Cesare anyway, I loved the fact he was in this book aswell. Dory is the predictable tomboyish heroine, but it really works you into a false sence of "oh, I know what's going to happen" before something totally unexpected hits you. This book had me gripped from the first page, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

After reading "Bites" and getting captivated by both Kate and her magnetic attraction to trouble, I couldn't wait to read Magic Burns. Just to let you know how much fun this book was, I read it in four hours - every word threw itself at me relentlessly and the world just had to wait until I finished. The action in Magic Burns keeps up the pace throughout the book, but not at the expense of plot development or losing touch with the main character, Kate. Kate is a dynamic, strong female character. I know there is a lot of discussion about the similarities between Lara Adrian's gripping new series and other paranormal romance series', but with each book Adrian carves out her own niche in the paranormal romance genre. Dante is a wonderfully written tortured soul and Tess, while annoying at some moments, has a great honesty about her. The story keeps you involved and whilst slightly formulaic it still manages to keep the reader engaged throughout. I enjoyed this book and have gone on to enjoy the following books in the series. Each one emmersing you more deeply in Adrian's new world of Vamps. Regardless of everything else in the book (which wasn't awful but wasn't great either) I can't give this book more than a one star review because the hero sexually assaults the heroine within the first couple of chapters of the book. In my opinion there is no justification for sexual assault and therefore I could not enjoy this book.

This is the first book of this type that I have read, usually reading thrillers etc... however this must have been one of the most enjoyable books ive had the pleasure of reading. The chemistry between the characters, you cant help get drawn in, I could not put the book down. I would highly recommend this book Brilliant
