This suffers from the same problems as the DVD.

It's derivative. There is absolutely nothing that hasn't been said over and over again.

It's simplistic. Life can be simple, but that doesn't mean you should treat your audience as if they are too.

It's repetitive. Get a variety of different figures in your niche to all say the same things using slightly different words.

It's nasty. Follow the philosophy through to it's logical conclusion and you are left with the concept that those who suffer have brought it upon themselves. There may be a grain of truth for some of the many unfortunates out there, but try telling a starving family in a poverty- and drought-stricken wilderness that really they ... Read More:

This book has a good message and it is interesting and dear Joe is immensely likeable but, like someone else has mentioned here, the way in which it's written gets in the way slightly. It's a bit like watching an American show over here in the UK where you can see where the ad breaks were scheduled. I kept feeling as though he was recapping for the benefit of anyone who had happened to find themselves in say, Chapter 5 and hadn't read the preceeding pages. There is alot of 'hey check my other stuff out!' and 'hey look here's another of my websites!' which credit to him is an important aspect of marketing but it got in the way. The concept spoken of here is valuable but I did feel it could've been written in a more concise manner and edited more tightly. ... Read More:

I purchased this DVD assuming that it was the same video I saw originally with extra material added. I did not realize that it was essentially an entirely different film. The material was very similar in most areas, and identical in some others, but had a noticeably different feel from the first original edition. The narrator of the original version (around whose work the Secret film was built) was completely edited out, which robs the film of most of its power. The voice overs were re-recorded and other sections re-shot with other people regurgitating material that was not their own and thus delivered lacking a sense of sincerity. I would never have thought that this could have such an impact on the film, but it certainly does. Very, very disappointing. I feel ... Read More:

OK, the product description is not very clear at all, and this is indeed a "fancy journal".

However, it is a useful, if not essential tool for users of the Law of Attraction. And it looks nice. There are tips and quotes dotted around the book, but we have to fill it in ourselves to make it 'work'.

This just wouldn't be the same with a 99p student notepad from the newsagent. It wouldn't keep you in the right frame of mind. I've had my Gratitude Book about a week now, and already its cost seems insignificant for such a great investment.

If you still think it's expensive; I noticed in WHSmith's the other day that lined notebooks (the kind one would buy for a special purpose) of identical construction and similar design were £10.99..!

This sends out a message of hope for the long suffering. This a carefully crafted piece, and very moving at times with the profound message of effortless manifestation of one's desires. Esther has built her career around her teachings, and what is imparted from here proves she is up there with the best of them. Although a lifelong fan of Esther, I would not just write a good review for the sake of it. What lies ahead in the future, no one knows. This book, though, allows you to able to change direction in life and to have some control over your destiny by implementing change through generating positive feelings. Well done, Esther and Jerry.

The story that Esther and Jerry Hicks have to tell is truly a remarkable one. Jerry was always interested in spirituality and all that was out there. But his wife wanted absolutely nothing to do with his explorations into the non-physical. Oh, how all of that was to change.

Without revealing too much of their journey, suffice it to say that she changed her tune - and by quite a bit. You see, Esther has become a channel for a disincarnate being called Abraham. His teachings, through her, have become the basis for a series of books by the Hickses.

In The Law of Attraction, Abraham explains this simple but profound universal principle. With its practical and deliberate application, we can learn to bring into our lives what we want and release that which we don't ... Read More:

I bought this book wanting to know a little more about Cosmic Ordering, Law of Abundance. I must say I read this book in one sitting... not because it held me in its grip for positive reasons but I could not quite believe that a) it was so badly written and said so little b) that I had parted with good money to buy it and c) I hoped that the book would improve as I went along and reveal something of interest that would make the tedium worthwhile. Nothing of the slightest interest materialized: lots of teasing mentions of Einstein, Mayan civiliation and the ultimate proof of connecting with the Universe - some Ladbrokes winning betting slips of the author's reproduced at the end of the book. They are sadly the most tangible thing about the book but there is little clue of how this wonder was achieved. ... Read More:

I looked at this book because I heard a lot about it and wanted to see for myself what all the fuss was all about. My first clue that this book was a horse of a different color was when I found it in the "metaphysical" section of the bookstore.

I have to be honest though, I never made it through the whole book. It centers around this "spirit" called Abraham and all the advice and teaching it gave to the authors.

Definitely for the "New Age" crowd, if this kind of thing interests you, then for the type of book that it is, its a good one. The book has 22 sections, whose purpose is to help you achieve your goals in life by asking you some reflective types of questions- which I did find motivating. Although not my cup of tea, the book is quite popular and I can recommend it to anyone ... Read More:

Brilliant. As you read you may be tempted to say that it is all too simplistic and full of commonsense so what is the point. But, you see, that is the whole point. Most of it is common sense and we overlook that in trying to look for something that is complicated. If anything this should make you all realise that you have the answers for your life. The book should make you laugh and be happy. You are special and you now know it. Rejoice in your own specialness. The next book to come out will be yours. Joe Vitale is not doing anything that you cannot do.
