I had heard "Jenny, Don't Be Hasty" by Paolo Nutini before and thought it was very good. I also fell in love with "Last Request" before that without knowing that it was by him. "Last Request" has to be my favourite song. Its a reasonably good album and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is a great book to get if you are looking for a challenge. I strongly suggest that if you do get this book you start with Goodbye My Lover and No Bravery as these are by far the easiest songs in the book and work your way up to the likes of Cry and Billy, which are probably the two hardest songs in the book. And to the previous reviewer, to a guitar player this book is pretty easy to play, but it is very hard to play on piano and I would agree that some of the songs are grade 6-8.

James Morrison reminds me of Terence Trent Derby with his distinctive vocals and cut down style,very few musical instruments,often just acoustic guitar and drums.Echoes of Stevie Wonder and chords and melodies that have a passing resemblance to other artists' songs complete the mix.I really like this album but it wasn't one that i liked first time of hearing.It's an album you need to play and let it grow on you.It's a little raw and naive in places and a little like a live recording of a busker on a city street corner.No bells and whistles,just a guy relying and believing in his talent.This gives it some originality and credit to James Morrison on producing a stunning album that may not be for everyone but will be enjoyed by most.Recommended.

Definitely a must for the guitarist fan! Simple and enjoyable. Of course, there are free tabs out there on the internet... but isnt it better to have everything in the book?:) I think it is.

I thought this book was extremely intuitive and with an easy writing style. I liked the many diagrams which makes understanding the chord patterns easier. However, being left handed, I also found the book very hard going, where I have to transpose over every tab notation and chord diagram. I would not recommend this book for left handed players, although I would happily buy it again if Fred Sokolow would write and publish a left handed version of this book.
