This case is a bit pricey, but it is very well made, camera fits perfectly and it's light weight and convenient. The 'soft' refers to the leather finish and not the firmness of the case, had I not read the previous reviews this may have been a shock from the description. There is no where to store additional batteries or SD cards, which suits me perfectly as I am just a 'point-and-shoot' kinda girl and I didn't want a bulky case designed for the 'extras' I don't need.

You absolutely do need a second battery for your camera if you are at all serious about photography. I bought the Canon Ixus 500 and this battery as a spare. I wouldn't be without it. Basically its essential. This one (identical to the one supplied with the camera) is reliable, fast to charge, and lasts a couple of days (or 100 or so photos) in my experience. Its not exciting, but it is worth the 30 quid or so.

I nearly bought 30 of these cards at £0.49 each. Just before i clikced to confirm the order i noticed that the delivery charge was nearly £140!!! Be very careful as no delivery costs are stated until the order is in the confirmation process - I guess its right that you can never look a gift horse in the mouth (without getting a kick up the bum!)

This is a fantastic piece of equipment. It allows photographs to be taken in or out of water with no loss of quality. The only fault I found was when taking photos using the flash they had a small area of shadow in the corner. I expect using the flash diffuser screen supplied would overcome this, but I haven't tried it yet. Putting the camera on 'Video' setting allows you to take superb underwater video clips. I found this out by accident.

When I bought the EOS350D I also bought a Jessops spare battery - out of the two, the canon has completely died on me (no power, the recharger goes green after 20 seconds, but there is still no power) - the jessops one is still going strong. At 3 times the cost - I'll be buying a compatible one. p.s. the camera is fantastic.

What can you say? It does what it is supposed to do. No problems after several recharges.

OK, I'm going to risk the wrath of all those that have gone before: I recently bought this card to replace a 1GB Corsair X133 speed SD memory card - that card was noticeably quicker than this SanDisk card! Unfortunately, and this is where the SanDisk really wins, I cannot compare the two because the Corsair was so flimsy that it fell apart. The SanDisk is definitely more sturdy, compared to the Corsair model that I had it is like comparing paper to heavy card. The corsair de-laminated, the front came away from the back, the small lock slide switch on the side fell off, and from that point on it was unusable.
