Ahhh... Nintendo. Nobody can beat Nintendo when it comes to the handheld gaming market. Nokia had a go with the N-Gage. I've only ever seen one N-Gage. And Sony had a slightly more respectable go with the PSP, which, while fun, broke fairly easily, became scratched and generally fell out of favour among those who wanted a more pick-up-and-play gaming experience. The DS Lite improves on Nintendo's original release by making the console thinner, lighter and considerably better to look at. I know I'm not a kid anymore, goodness knows 37 is not old but definately old enough for my son to be amazed I'm still alive. I bought one of these for the Brain Training and other brain related 'games', but decided that it would be a bit of a waste not to use it for a few games. My son has a PSP and really, it knocks the DS into a cocked hat as far as graphics, game play, ease of use, colours etc are concerned. I bought a few games, Brothers in Arms, Golden Compass and Simpsons and found that I was completely bored within about 2-3 minutes, whereas the PSP because of its instant action fast paced game play would keep me occupied for ages. This new colour is a fabulous bright, shiny red and looks great. Was worried the colour may be a bit orangey or pinkish but it's not at all. It looks sleek, glossy and cool. This is easy to use, light to carry and the fully charged battery lasts for around 16 hours when set on low screen brightness. The two screens are really handy as it saves flipping back and forth between modes as in some GBA games or adds extra elements in others. The touch screen is fun and adds an extra dimension to game-play over the gameboy advance. The wi-fi connectivity allows game play with friends and connection to the internet to play with other Nintendo gamers. There is a calendar, a clock and an alarm. It has built in stereo speakers ... Received today and boy what a great looking unit. The glossy piano red cover blends well with the matt black. Machine performs and works well.Comes with a U.S. charger and a U.K. adaptor which works well. The unit is well made. You will not be dissappointed!!
