I have had my house party II for a couple of years now and only used it occasionally on holiday or when working away. It had worked perfectly fine and I was greatly pleased, but! .... I too have begun to experience the large and very annoying "popping" noise between tracks, so much so that I can no longer enjoy my music. To my reckoning I have only used my speaker system less than 100 hours before this started to happen. A great shame because before the popping started I would have gladly recommended this product, now i doubt if i will ever buy another gear 4 product.

This case was an extremely snug fit for my 60GB 5th gen iPod. So snug, in fact, that actually lifting the covering flap up in order to operate the controls or view the screen requires careful maneouvering to avoid the case getting caught on the earphone lead. It's also nigh on impossible to use a cabled charger into the bottom socket, as the hole that nominally grants access to the docking port on the iPod is so snug that the cable can't fully click into place. The belt clip feels too loose when attached to be trusted, and while the lanyard seems a sensible alternative, the weight of the hard drive-based iPod doesn't work too well suspended from one's neck. product took a long time to arrive when compared with other items purchased from amazon when it arrived the product did not fit my ipod nano.

The sound quality is great for the price and the price is equaly as good as on most websites it's valued for double it is on here. Excellent product. Would definaly recommend.

...only I could find an interference-free/quiet frequency on my car & HiFi radios. My car is a 2004 Honda Jazz SE with a radio/CD & I have a 30GB iPod video, so I bought this gadget with high hopes of listening to my iPod through the radio. I didn't expect the sound quality to be brilliant from my dealings with FM headphones, but (mistakenly) I thought that maybe a dedicated gadget might surprise me... it didn't. The gadget itself works just fine & is not difficult to use, but the problem is finding an interference-free/quiet frequency on my car radio, which is nigh on impossible. Took this out for 9 mile run, did exactly as expected with no problems at all, would recommend as a secure and unobtrusive way to carry your ipod during exercise

Whilst almost everyone these days hail the Ipod video as a modern design classic and sexy piece of kit, most owners will agree that if left unprotected for a day or two and flung into a pocket or handbag with keys and other items your precious, blinging and expensive 'pod would soon look like something the cat had dragged in. I bought this as a secondary unit to an iTALKonline transmitter, and while I have probably been spoilt by that piece of kit, I honestly wasn't expecting the Roadtrip to be as bad as it is. Firstly, the basic fitting is not quite long enough to fit into the cigarette lighter and allow me to actually see and use the ipod. Due to the angle of the socket in my car (Audi TT), the ipod ends up pointing towards the floor, making it difficult to change tracks etc. Also, the extension arm supplied is way too long and the unit is too heavy to be supported safely by it, leaving it sticking out too far and waggling around. Secondly, the sound quality is dreadful - far too quiet and when the volume is wacked up to compensate, the resulting FM hiss is far too much ... Read More:
