This product is a godsend. I switched to a iMac last year and haven't looked back since. It's a HUGE improvement over version 2 which I also reviewed. Coherence is a life saver! I can run and launch Windows programs from my Mac desktop. It's so easy to switch between them. Copy and paste text, images etc. I have only 2GB ram, 2.16 GHZ processor and a 250 GB HD. It runs so effortless and easy. It only took half-hour to install. And I haven't had any problems with it since I've been using it. And it's been a couple of months at least. An improvement over Version 2 apart from Coherence is the ability to run Direct X 8.1 games. That wasn't available on Version 2 and I've managed to get Prey to run among others. I have just bought this product and am delighted with it! It was so easy to install and use. I can easily run Windows XP Pro alongside my Mac OS X with no hiccups at all! I have used different Virtual Machine software in the past that impacted a great deal on my system performance but this is a breathe of fresh air! I recommend it for those who need the stability of a Mac but have to use 'Windows-only' tools for some of their work. Its great!

Yeah this is awesome. It can't be easy to make an instruction manual for an operating system interesting, but the author does it somehow. And the detail is great. I've been able to tell experienced MAC OS users a thing or two from having read this book. Recommended.

It looks good but not the same as before so there is some relearning required. But the biggest surprise of all is that it is frustratingly slow. I have iWorks but bought this because my wife kept saying that MS office was better, but even she now admits it's not. Only buy this if you absolutely have to, or if you have more patience than me.

I have personally found 'Tiger' to be the most efficient OS X to date, and therefore a real favourite for a couple of years when I was working in a graphics department. Their is no doubt Leopard is a beautiful upgrade, containing a stated "300+ upgrades", however, it is by no means essential if you Mac is work work purposes. The extra features we've found are not for the productive side of things, but more for consolidating files, making things visually look better, and a few notable new programs. In short, Leopard would no doubt be a great update for the Media orientated users, but if you're all work and no play, it's actually not that essential. Where to begin... basically don't. The only thing more flakey was the XP64 I bought a few weeks earlier. With only the OS loaded I got blue screens galore. Updates didn't and Windows live this that and the other fell over but then were impossible to remove. I expected it to be better than XP64 which was a nightmare but frankly the improvement was marginal. I am sure you get the picture by now. If you want a 64 bit OS then this is not it.
