I bought this prior to a family holiday to France. Not having any previous experience of Brain Training, I decided to go for this version rather than the original after reading other reviews, and what a joy it was. I kept the game hidden until we boarded the ferry. When I got it out, I was expecting cries of 'oh no! Not brain training - why did you get that mum??' BUT instead all were delighted, and the whole family, young and old, played it every single day of our trip, and indeed fighted over who's turn it was. I highly recommend this game if you are planning a long journey, or just want to provide your family with some educational entainment that everyone can enjoy that doesnt involve the telly.

I just got this game today and am hooked already. As an older Nintendo fan (40 something), I don't play all the shoot 'em up or beat the clock type games. I like games that I can play at my leisure and think about. This is definitely the one to have. Got it hooked up to my wireless internet easily and was playing backgammon with someone in no time. It's not one of those games where once you play to the end, you're done. Lots of variety and I'm sure it will keep me entertained for hours, days, even months to come.

This is the best game that I have bought so far for the DS, it kept me going during a nine hour flight to America. It is challenging as you play a different level of player as you improve which makes you work harder. There is also an anagram game and a game where letters escalade into making words. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys the conventional game of Scrabble.

What a terrible game. A collection of boring mini games, it follows a similar format to brain training but is not nearly as good.

WELL THE CHARGER IS VERY QUICK AND TELLS U HOW LOW URS BATTERYS IS. WHICH IS GD ITS EASY TO SET UP AND QUICKLY CHARGES IT. THE CARCHARGER DOES WORK IN UR CAR BUT FOR ME IT POINLESS COS IM THE DRIVER AND I CAN'T DRIVE AND PLAY ON MY DS. BUT IT USEFULL IF U GO TRIVLING FOR LONG TIME. EARPHONES NOT BAD BUT THEY START HURTING UR EARS IF U HAVE THEM IN FOR A LONG TIME, SCREEN PROTCORS DO NOT USE THEM ONLY USE LISENCE NINTENDO DS ONE COS ANY OTHER WRECK UR SCREEN. THE CLEAN CLOTH IS GREAT FOR CLEANING UR SCREENS. CASTS ARE VERY GOOD TO KEEP UR GAMES SAFE. THE STLUS WORK WELL U GET A FEW OF THOSE AND THE CARRY CAST IS PRITTY STRONG. Very basic and repetitive which makes it boring after 1 or 2 days. May be useful for people who struggle with numbers.

Personally I found this to be total rubbish, Even after following recipes to the letter I end up with very unsatisfactory results.... runny sauces et al. The speech recognition has to be disabled because when you use it and do anything remotely noisy (like chopping ingredients!!!) it thinks you are speaking and it gets totally confused taking you back through the cooking instructions. This means you have to use the stylus which is hardly ideal when cooking. It was very disappointing given I thought I had found something useful to do with my DS rather than 'training my brain' or zapping aliens.... I would say spend you're money on a good Delia cook book.

I gave this to my 76 year old mother (with a new DS) a few weeks ago, and I've not seen her since! She's addicted. (And now understand why teenage boys crowd round computer game consols in shops!) There's a huge choice of Solitaire games, almost too many to keep track of what you've tried etc. I wish they would bring something like this out with over a 100 word games. If you like card games, you will like this - a bargain for the price.

Hi, I'm not a bad player at Tetris. I liked the original Gameboy version and I actually wrote a faster version in less than a day for an old Psion organiser (remember those?) and called it Turbotris! I used to play my own version of the game but noone else I knew could play it at the fastest settings. The reason I could play so fast was that in the original gameboy version (and my faster remake) I always knew where to put the next piece before I'd dropped the current piece in. This was because the next piece was clearly shown at a convenient eye level next to the playing area so you could see both at the exact same time. I won't waste space by repeating gameplay details, already in other reviews. The biggest disappointment for me is that you can only have one user's details on the game card. The only other problem is that the game does not take into account the nutritional value of your food intake, only the energy value. So it is not much help for dieters who want to watch how much sugar, fat etc they are having. The game does include quizzes to test your nutrition knowledge, however. There are a variety of Challenges which are all optional, although the game recommends that you complete at least one per day.
